Why do people "HATE" EA?

Why do people hate EA can so much? Yes it has become very aware to most gamers that EA is going to try to suck every dime it can from each person that it can, just look at the boost prices in Need For Speed World. Well IGN has heard the people and wanted to see if EA has. IGN had an interview with the COO of EA and it was an ok read. You can read the story here: http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06/14/why-do-people-hate-ea?utm_source=Monday%20newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=6.19%20Dynamic%20Newsletter_NO%20FNAME_5188_242595_242633&utm_content=20002801

Pretty much this is one of the excuses as to why EA charges so much and does what it does: "Moore says, “There is this underlying belief in a lot of gamers that games shouldn't be profitable enterprises. I try and sit down with people as much as I can and explain what it takes to make a video game and how much capital investment it takes. We employ over 9,000 people. We invest over a billion dollars a year in R&D, most of which doesn't see revenue until the following year, or in some instances, the year after that. And so you've constantly got to be making money to reinvest money to make great games.”
